Product Details:

An acne treatment skincare product formulated to treat acne vulgaris suited to particularly oily skin. This product is prescription-only and can be prescribed by our Skin Experts after consultation. All Obagi tretinoin formulations are fragrance-free and are available in various strengths and formulations including Tretinoin 0.025%, 0.1% and 0.05% creams.

Directions for use

  • Apply a small amount of Obagi Tretinoin 0.05% Gel to your fingertips.
  • Apply onto face, covering affected area lightly, starting with your forehead, chin, and both cheeks, then spread over the entire affected area.
  • Spread the gel evenly over your face using circular motions.
  • Allow the gel to absorb completely before applying any other skincare.

    How do I use Obagi Tretinoin 0.05% Gel?

    Tretinoin is a prescription treatment and you must use it as directed by your Skin Expert. Here at Face Dr, all of our Skin Experts are fully-trained to dispense Tretinoin and our online clinic is Doctor-led. After your free video skincare consultation, your Skin Expert will build a program of products in your Face Dr account, including Tretinoin where required. With continued guidance, your Skin Expert will advise on how often to use, when to increase usage and if it's worth increasing concentration.

    Is Obagi Tretinoin 0.05% Gel the right product for my skin?

    If you suffer from acne, Obagi Tretinoin 0.05% Gel may be the right product for you. This product is also an appropriate treatment for hyperpigmentation, sun damage and ageing skin. Your Face Dr Skin Expert will be able to advise whether this product is right for you. If you have any allergies please do let your Skin Expert know during consultation. Tretinoin is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    How long does Obagi Tretinoin 0.05% Gel last?

    It really depends on your skincare regime, and how you use your products. For example, your cleanser is used AM and PM will last between 2-3 months, whereas your toning pads used daily will last 1-2 months. However, with high-quality skincare products, a little goes a long way. Ask your Skin Expert for advice on this, and guidance on how much of each product you should use at a time.
