Skin Expert
Being able to help people with their skin concerns in order to boost their confidence is something I love about my job. It is rewarding to know that I can make a difference, not only to how people look but also how they feel.
I trained in Marbella at the Christine Shaw Private College and spent my first years after graduation working in the Marriott Hotel in Elviria. During this time I travelled as far as Madrid to train students and work in other luxury resorts. My time in Spain led me to be fluent in Spanish and I continue to teach the language, alongside my clinical work. I returned to Scotland in 2010 and worked in the National Clarins team before joining Tay Medispa when it launched in 2016.
I love combining the luxury of a spa treatment, with the visible results you can see instantly from ZO professional facials. This holistic type of service ensures my clients get the most from their clinic visits. Recreating these in-clinic results using at-home regimes for our clients in 2020 has been really satisfying.
Between working and being a mum, there isn’t too much time for much else but I do like spending time with friends or teaching Spanish when I get a chance.
I start the morning with a ZO Exfoliating Cleanser and follow with the ZO Complexion Renewal Pads to tone my skin before finishing off with the ZO Daily Power Defense. Daily Power Defense is my hero-product. It is packed with ceramides, anti-oxidants, retinol and matrixyl 3000 to make sure my skin is hydrated from within as well as giving me multiple anti-ageing benefits. To finish, I use the ZO Smart Tone SPF 50 which offers all-round UV protection to my skin. In the evening I repeat this process, but I add in a scrub to make sure I am getting rid of any dead skin cells, allowing the products to penetrate my skin more effectively.
We should all exfoliate more! Your skin cycle slows down as you age, and exfoliating is the best way to waken it up. Even diseased skin can benefit from additional exfoliation.
