ZO Complexion Renewal Pads; the perfect skin toner

Hannah Wilson

Toning the skin is one step that many miss out of their skincare routine. However, it is just as important as cleansing the skin. ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads fulfil this role perfectly. Even if you suffer from dry skin, this step should still be added to your regime as it will soothe the complexion. Toning helps to balance the pH level of the skin, control the oil and refresh the skin cells. Oil is the biggest enemy in the skin so if it is not controlled it can lead to further concerns. In this blog, we are going to talk about ZO Skin Health’s Complexion Renewal Pads, including their ingredients, how to use them and finally how to purchase yours.

Complexion Renewal Pads by ZO Skin Health

ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads

ZO Complexion Renewal Pads are pre-soaked, which will dissolve any impurities on the skin. Impurities can include pollution or build-up of dead skin, for example. They help to minimise surface oil by achieving a deeper exfoliation within the cell. Dead skin cells can clog the pores and the Complexion Renewal Pads offer a deep cleanse to congested skin and release any dirt to prevent breakouts. These pads contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid and a botanical blend.

  • Salicylic acid is known to treat and prevent acne breakouts.
  • Glycolic acid will exfoliate and resurface the skin. This is an ideal ingredient for pigmentation to even out the skin tone.
  • The botanical extracts will provide the skin with antioxidant benefits, soothe the skin and also reduce any irritation and redness.

How and when to use Complexion Renewal Pads

 ZO Complexion Renewal Pads

The renewal pads should be used after the cleansing and exfoliation stage. They are included in Step 3 of ZO’s Fundamental Five Getting Skin Ready product routine. If you are cleansing and exfoliating in the shower, use the Renewal Pads when your face is dry and out of the shower. They can be used twice a day – one pad in the morning, and one in the evening to control and reduce oil production. The pads are very easy to use – apply gently and wipe over the entire face. They will leave a film on the surface, which will continue to work throughout the day to dissolve any oil that may appear on the surface of the skin. The skin’s pH level can change when you cleanse and exfoliate. By using these exfoliating oil removal pads, the skin will revert back to the correct pH level.

Are ZO Complexion Renewal Pads suitable for my skin type and concerns?

ZO Complexion Renewal Pads Skin Expert

Complexion Renewal Pads are effective on a normal to oilier skin type. However, if you suffer from sensitive or broken skin, ZO Calming Toner may be a more suitable choice for you.

If you are acne-prone, then ZO have created the perfect toner for you. Try ZO Oil Control Pads instead.

When you apply the pads to the face, it will tingle. Especially when they are first introduced to your routine. Even the most robust and thicker skin may experience this too but be assured this is a normal reaction. If twice-daily use seems too much for your skin, revert to using them once a day, and over time you can build up to using them twice a day.

How long do Complexion Renewal Pads last?

Each container holds 60 pads, and when used twice daily you will get use out of the product for 30 days.

Skin Expert Top Tip

To extend the use, the pads can be cut in half, one half in the morning and the other half in the evening. This gives you 60 days use out of the product – that’s double! I would also suggest storing the container upright one night and then upside down the next night. This keeps all of the pads fully moistened with the ingredients. Please make sure the lid is securely on when doing this.

In summary

Toning the skin is an important step to prepare the skin for further products. It will be the final preparation stage for making sure the skin is ready for more active products. Not only this, but your products will be able to penetrate deeper into the skin. These pads are non-drying and will leave your skin feeling and looking very refreshed.

If you are looking to reduce surface oil, exfoliate dead skin cells, treat and prevent breakouts, then these exfoliating oil removal pads may just be what your skin needs. Want to buy yours today? Simply head to our online order form here.
